So I’m sure I’m exxtra late with this video but I was sifting through Complex Magazine’s top 100 internet videos and came across Ryan Leslie in 1994 on KXTV.  I just wanted to say good for you Ryan! I know he probably took alot of crap for this video but it’s nice to see that even early on he was trying to make a difference and that’s more than I can say for a lot of people in the music industry. I can’t lie, before this I just wrote this guy off as a corny, marginally talented, song writer (and he strikes me a being a little gay..not that there’s anything wrong with that…just sayin’).  But after seeing this and a couple of interviews he did I’m happy to see that he has a brain and a heart. This man graduated from Harvard at nineteen majoring in macro ecomonomics YIKES!  Despite the sarcastic overtones of this post I am genuinely gonna try to IGNORE his I’m-too-sexy-for-this-microphone persona keep an eye out for more of his humanitarian efforts.  Kudos Ryan!
