FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MS. WISE BRINGS YOU: LOVE, US – THE 2012 PRODUCTION

Annual Production, Promoting Love & Intolerance to Hatred

Philadelphia, Pa. Wednesday, June 27th, 2012, 7pm – National Poet & Teaching Artist, Alyesha Wise (known as “Ms. Wise”) will deliver the city of Philadelphia an annual, mixed-artist production, Love, Us. The night will consist of respectable artists, of various genres, who all join together, to spread one collective message through their art: “Spread Love. End Hate.” This years’ production will be headlined by none other than HBO Def Poet, SUNNI PATTERSON.

The production will include international & award winning artists, from actors to dancers, who will each bring their diversity to the night, while supporting the overall theme. Also included in the night, is various media productions, giveaways & audience engagement, without the need for a consistent host. Love, Us is presented in true, “production” format. Performances & presentations are well-thought out, rehearsed & delivered in way that the audience receives the best show and message(s) possible. With this format, people have been left anticipating the production the following year.

On the last Wednesday of June, since 2010, Ms. Wise has held the production at The Rotunda, located in University City, West Philadelphia. Inspired by recent tragic events in the media (specifically hate crimes), the increase in school bullying, & the death of (who she calls a “Love Revolutionist”) Michael Jackson, Ms. Wise ventured off to create something that would encourage a message of universal & self love. Since its’ creation, Love, Us has been a packed production, gathering patrons from all over the east coast. Some past supporters include The Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement, City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, Fourth Wall Arts Salon, & Spoken Soul 215.

The production has inspired an entire Movement, given the same name, Love, Us. The organization strives for, and anticipates, super diverse crowds. Moreover, this production (as well as most Love, Us events) is all ages. As of date, the organization & production has been successful, while striving to take its creations to the highest level possible.
