Guest Blog: The Love Movement AKA The Love Bomb By: Everybody!

Welcome to “The Love Movement.” This past week I asked a few good friend one important question; “What does love me to you?” I am not talking about being “in love”; I’m talking about love in general. Here are the answers from few friends and love ones; this is love from their perspective.

Please note: All of the  replies below were answered via text message, e-mail, and Facebook.

For me to love something… Whether it be a person, object, idea, activity….. I feel I can’t live my life without it then I truly love it. If I can wake up tomorrow and that thing is gone and I wouldn’t care then I don’t.

-Ms. Nicholson

Love to me is selflessness. Doing something for someone because you want to do it and not expecting anything in return.

-Ms. Phoenix

Love is caring for another person, love is trusting that person with your feelings, love is only wanting that one person no matter the temptation of other human beings, love is being able to tell the other person everything no matter what, love is building a bond that cant be broken… that’s how I feel about love….But F*^K LOVE.

-Ms. Richardson (Aka Ms. Love Hater)

I like how I love u (no homo). Respect, loyalty, honesty, trustworthy, death b4 dishonor. To me when u love somebody all of these things r very relevant keys.

-Mr. Hughes (Aka C. Styles)

Love is acceptance and appreciation for something or someone that contributes to you joy or delight. Love is an expression of acceptance and appreciation for someone or some things contribution to your joy and delight.

-Ms. Shippe (Aka Beach Girl)

Hell I don’t know how to put it lol….The best way I could say it is caring about someone and hoping only good things happen to them….That sounds cheesy as Hell. lol

-Mr. Golden (Aka Daylight.)

I feel that love is GENUINELY caring about ALL aspects of a person’s life with their best interest at heart. Rather its mom, dad, best friend, sister or brother.

-Ms. Phillips

Being there for someone at all times no matter what and all that comes with it.

-Ms. Ross (No relation to Rick.)

LOVE???? Umm it is an expression of ur feelings to an individual or something you really really like.

It is a great deal to express love in my family. We say we love one another all the time. When coming, going, greeting when they answer the phone, before hanging up, waking up in the morning, and before going to bed.

We are very open when it comes to expressing our love for one another. When a friend says they love you, I think it also expresses that they care for you and would cry at your funeral.

Your kids they are born to love you and their love is so innocent and pure because they love you for who you are no complaints or adjustments.

-Ms. Ray (Mon Bel Amoureux)

Love is about people…It’s about connections…Its not about cocks, and ass, and tits…And butthole pleasures…It’s not about these rusty trombones, and these dirty Sanchez…And these Cincinnati bowties…And these pussy juice cocktail…And these shit stain balls!! Lmfao

-Mr. Rozier (Aka Mr. “Guess where these lines are from”)

Love to me means that you care about someone, by the standards of human nature, more than you should based solely on emotion and containing zero logic which then creates a liability on your safety and preservation. Love is a fleeting emotion, true love isn’t. True love is the ability to selflessly place trust in another being based on emotion and reciprocation which “love” doesn’t involve. It can be one sided….yeah, all that.

-Mr. iSpit (Aka He’s Not A Rapper.)

Love; a word, which humans often use to describe indescribable emotions for a person, place, object or in most cases an illusion.

-Ms. Brown

Love is the deepest depth of caring; a feeling that may cause extreme happiness or pain from lost or another factor. In love should be unconditional… And the person/persons in love should only have eyes for that person.

-Ms. Jackson (No relation to Janet or the song)

To me? Love ****, is many of complicated things, but simple love to me is just someone that is the center of your world , be it family or friends , love def has to be unconditional ,loving and kind. It can be stern but only when circumstance really calls for it, most of all love is something that surrounds me like a hug and has loyalty and purpose behind it at all times.

-Ms. Mauro

Sorry I took so long 2 reply, but I definite think that genuine love is simply wanting 2 see that person in the best possible position; wanting that person to have a good life, to be prosperous, and to enjoy all of their blessings. The way I came to this realization is that I thought about every person I love and I tried to find the one commend feeling that I have for each and everyone of y’all. You can’t love someone if you don’t wanna see them living right.

-Mr. Ellis

Love to me honesty commitment struggle and growth may it be a family friends or lovers those four things are all players in a relationship of any type of love sometimes it is used in a improper form due to complete misunderstanding love is not owe or owned to you love is a instrument that never leaves no matter of disappointments or lost if u really love u will love forever even if the one u love is no longer with you death separation or rejection will not stop u having love for another and love is not use as a weapon it is celebrated and held dear.

Oh, the most strongest love is love for your enemies and haters without their participation ur growth falls short of ur full capabilities remember that son.

-Ms. Blair (Aka Mom Dukes)

Its kind when the world is cold…ummm
Its a shoulder to lean on!
Its a friend, a baby, a animal…its like a attraction…they way u feel..idk FEELINGS…KANYE SHRUGGS…DID THAT HELP? LOL

-Ms. Brown (Or Ms. X)

What does it mean to me? It means that I feel enough for someone to miss them…that I’m interested in hearing what they have to say. It means that I trust someone enough to allow myself be the me that I know I really am around them and not some false public face.

Without getting into being IN love…those are what instantly come to mind in terms of ideas, of what I think that general love I’d have for someone is. 🙂

Hope that helps.

Fuck. hahahahahahahahaha I sent that to everyone. I hate you E!

-Mr. Lombardi (Aka Mr. “I hate you E!”)

Love is something that is over rated and once any topic is examined where people claimed they did it for love there was another reason behind it weather it was cause of selfishness or because they feel obligated to do so. People use love to explain why they stay with some one that beats them or why they stay with some one that is sick. It’s not lover there are underline reason. Love is another way to cover up that you have daddy issues, that you were abused as a child, that you like to help people that are not so well off, that you come from a broken family…. Or that you’re just plain fucking crazy!

-Ms. Barnes (<===She make my scarfs.)

Um love to me is an emotion I have for a certain person.

-Ms. Paul (Aka Ms. “Erin’s Mommy”)

Just love, the word, to me is in a way similar to fuck. Where as fuck is used to over exaggerate almost any thing, as in “I fucking love that”, love is t he same on a more positive level as if to say “I love that movie” but know one can “love” or be in love with a movie. Putting in before love, like you after fuck, gives a much more defined meaning.

-Mr. Notich (My favorite artist)

My son, laying on the couch watching a movie and then just realizing that at some point my cat Orion curled up on me w/out my realizing it, walking anywhere after being hit by a car and just suffering a broken leg, chocolate, money well spent and sometimes not well spent, great sex when you’re clear that’s all you wanted, little babies, little baby animals, nature.  I could go on but that’s all for now.

-Ms. Moore

Love to me is feeling genuine care, concern, warmth and the desire for happiness and wholeness of others. It is wanting the very best for them, respect and accepting them for who they are. It is the sincerely wanting the best for them and those they love. It is a willingness to let them go if it is their desire, to step away and not help if it is in their best interest, it is speaking the truth even though it may hurt, it is always keeping them in your heart. Love is respect for self, the earth, other people, cultures, belief systems and ideologies.  It is all embracing and all encompassing. It knows no boundaries, colors, races, age or differences. Love is God and dwells within us.  Love does not find fault or destroy,. It builds up and never tears down. It is a kind word, smile, healing touch and empathetic spirit. It is the only thing that truly matters and the only hope to heal all that is in need of it.

-Mrs. Gaither (Aka Mrs. G)

Love is **** calling me and actually speaking to me directly. Love is **** calling ****. Love is people not getting around to ever calling each other but feeling warmth for each other. Is that too personal?
Love,
****

-Mr. Chartkoff

Love means I am allowing you to HEAR my thoughts both pretty and ugly. I am allowing you to TOUCH my soul, both physically and metaphysically. Love means I am allowing you to TASTE me when we kiss. I am allowing you to SMELL me when we embrace. Love means I am allowing you to finally SEE me in all my glory and shortcomings.

Love is accepting the vulnerability I feel when you are around me. I trust you and want you to trust me.

Love is heaven and hell. Love is the moon and the stars. Love is affection, intimacy, and trust…Love is children, family, and good friends…..Love is life and life is nothing without love…

-Ms. Campbell (Aka Ms. “New Fan?”)

“What does love mean to me?”

Love to me means more than love for your lover, family, friends, or  children. Love to me is the love for everything; trees, birds, homeless people, a child’s laughter, lust, the sky, the stars, moon, and life. The knowing that I can love for the sake of loving. The knowing I can open my heart to anyone, male, female, animal, or thing. The knowing that love is so pure and positive, uttering those four little letters could change a person’s day. Knowing that there are people or at least one human being in this world that loves me. Knowing that I can love doing something (as in storytelling,)and the thought of it could bring me to tears of joy. The love for you, you, you, and you! Love means life, beauty, sublime, Erin, writing, the moon, the sun, the stars, the sky, dreaming, hope, passion, helping others, the future, freedom, and the air from my lungs. Love is loving you and never being ashamed to show it. Love is opening myself up to someone who’s willing to love me for me. Love is being myself and never letting anyone hold me back or down.

-Mr. Blair (Aka Mr. “I am not a robot.”)

Peace and keep the love going!
