“Tides of Freedom: African Presence on the Delaware River” is an extraordinary exhibit that includes artifacts, accounts and elements from Philadelphia’s maritime past that tell stories of enslavement and emancipation.
In the weeks ahead, we encourage you to see this exhibition. We applaud the vision of the curator, Tukufu Zuberi, Ph.D., the exhibition’s Curatorial Committee, and the Outreach and Programming Committee of the Seaport Museum for organizing this exhibit on the African maritime presence in our region.
