A law came to be reality for me and so many others
Equal rights and equality means my rights are hers and hers are mine
When difficult decisions need to be met me as her wife my thoughts won’t be neglected, they’ll be accepted and nothing can change that
The world is changing and it’s nothing like before
I love how I am now able to turn on the tv and see people like me
The land of the free and home of the brave is becoming reality for so many these days
Music nowadays isn’t bashing us but uplifting us and encouraging others to see hate isn’t the way
The message has become universal
On every television set, every channel regardless of race and religion
Preaching hate is still around but the sound is just turned down
The law that passed is helping to take away the voice of hate in a powerful way
Being proud of who you are is another way to defeat hate
I’m proud of me, you and others like us
Regardless of your preference acceptance is the message
Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Transgendered or confused your Lifestyles are yours so do as you choose
Will things change 100%? I doubt it but this is a great place to begin.
