Evan Polk to Be First Comedian to Perform At Love Park June 20th, 2013

PHILADELPHIA, June 11, 2013 – On Thursday June 20th from noon – 2pm, comedian Evan Polk will be the first comedian to perform in LOVE Park’s Summer in LOVE Concert Series. Performing two, 1- hour long shows of his latest standup, Blue Duck, Evan is poised to continue to make history as he carves his own path.

Blue Duck serves as the follow up to the first season of Evan – a hilarious, self-titled webseries that Evan Polk co-created and played lead. Blue Duck is sponsored by the most popular energy drink in the world – Red Bull – how’s that for setting the tone?

His content alone has given Evan Polk the reputation of not being the average, Black comedian – who better to be the first comedian of any color to headline a standup special at LOVE Park than someone who transcends racial barriers through speech alone?

Evan is a man of necessary words and what you can expect from Blue Duck can be communicated with the only phrase he has been using to describe this event, “I got a story to tell…”

On Juy 26th, Evan will be performing at the Hard Rock Café with Clint Coley, Omar Thompson and Reggie Conquest

Evan Polk‘s comedic root began at Millersville University and he then made his way to the Laff House and other Greater Philadelphia comedy venues and one-time events, including Helium, Dowling’s Palace, and Pennsylvania colleges & universities. During the first quarter of 2012, Evan Polk had his own recurring monthly stand-up show, Hilarium, at The Laff House – a staple of Philadelphia’s African American comedy scene. In the Fall of 2012 Evan shared the stage with Clint Coley for the Netflix special, Stand and Deliver.
