Should right-wing hate be aimed at children? I’m certain you agree that the answer is a resounding “No!”

I’m talking about kids who are taking the heat for their parents’ commitment to progressive activism – the struggles for peace, human rights, civil liberties, economic justice, and many other issues that I know deeply concern you, too.

It reminds me of the nightmare I went through as a child when my mother and father, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, were arrested, then executed when I was six. And it’s why I created the Rosenberg Fund for Children to help these kids whose activist parents have been targeted for their work to make the world a better place for us all.

For more than 20 years we’ve been easing children’s pain and providing them with opportunities for healing and growth by funding therapy, education, arts programs, camp, and even prison visits. We also provide a caring community – that I hope you’ll join by adding your name here and demonstrating that you stand with the children described below. Please show them that they are not alone.

Joshua was a toddler when the authorities threatened to take him away from his mother, simply because she’s an activist for GLBTQ rights

Nora, a young teen, was tailed oppressively- then held at gun point(!)- by FBI agents arresting her mother, who had been leading efforts to protect the environment.

Keisha was cruelly harassed in public school for her mother’s labor organizing.

And eight-year-old Nicole, who for a year, could only see her father- a soldier who was jailed when he spoke out against the Middle East wars and refused to redeploy- during prison visits paid for by our grants.

More kids like these are suffering right now because their parents who are involved in social justice movements have been the targets of harsh repression. I know from my own experience what a positive difference it makes to have people rally around you.
