“The Real Thanksgiving” is a very important event that we ask you to post and also attend. Most of us have family from or in the Gullah/Geechee Nation’s corridor: “Down South” in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida areas. At this event, we will learn firsthand, the current state of our land, our culture and our history.

Queen Quet, Head of State of the Gullah/Geechee Nation will be making her Philadelphia debut to discuss the emancipated Africans’ migratory journey from the coast of the Carolinas to Philadelphia and other points north. She will also discuss Special Field Order #15 or more commonly called “40 Acres and a Mule”, as it was granted to the people of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, developments with the Gullah/Geechee nation and more.
