This is for those middle class White people with upper class attitudes with their six dollar Starbuck coffees, five hundred dollar small dogs, and their fifteen hundred dollar a month small studio apartments.  Ignorant isn’t bliss, it’s stupid. The type of ignorance that some these middle class White people give Black people is really insane. The hair questions, thinking every intelligent Black man is a poster child for a angry Black man. Black women are exotic, all Black people from the ghetto have been in gangs and shoot outs, or if you’re from the ghetto and you’re intelligent you’re labeled as “smart for someone from the ghetto or as a Black person.” When does the madness stop?! Come down to the Ghettos and see that they’re reaching for the stars and trying to achieve their goals. The kids in the ghetto are trying to survive by using knowledge because that’s the key. Come down from your high rise lofts and see that there are positive Black people down here. Stop watching the idiot box, the media lies. Should I say to some of these ignorant White people, “Hey, are all White people ignorant or narrow minded like you?” Come on! We were Kings and Queens and we were kidnapped and brought to a land that was stolen and we survived! We deserve tenfold respect from white people. We built this country from the sweat off our backs, our blood, tears, and praise. I honestly do not want any acres and a mule.  I want equality and the respect that African-Americans are Caucasian Americans equals. We deserve respect, not silly antics or being degraded via lynch mobs in the daily media.  This needs to stop! Sparks of ignorance can grow into hatred.

Another thing, I want White people to stop saying “nigger.” It’s not cool for anyone to say it.  Please stop using the fact that Black people use the word “nigger” as a term of endearment, as an excuse to use it yourselves. It’s ignorant and not trendy at all, no one should use the “n-word.” Please, White people stop trying to find ways to say “nigger” by saying “nizzle,” “na-gger,” or “nig.” One of my favorite excuses is: “Black people are being sensitive about the word, “nigger” and slavery happened hundreds years ago.” I look at it like this, if Jewish people can still talk about the holocaust and want people to feel their pain;  Black people have all the right to still bring up slavery when that was a holocaust that lasted for hundreds of years! My opinion, “nigger” is more than a word because that word has seeped into some Black people minds causing them to act the way White people see them. I hate when some White people dare to utter, “Black people need to get over Slavery and the word “nigger.” This goes for yuppies, middle class, White trash, or ghetto White people; I will punch you in the face if I hear “nigger” uttered out of your mouth. I am not being sensitive because of the word; I am being sensitive because the impact it has created in the African-American community. I just want my people to know that we’re Kings and Queens and I want every race, especially the Caucasian race to know we’re one of the greatest cultures alive. No, I am not saying this because I am Black; I am saying this because our history and culture is so rich and beautiful. I write this to demand respect and if you’re White and you have inquires about the American-African culture just ask in a respectful way. Stop assuming that all Black people like chicken and watermelon or we all speak like “Yo, homie! What it be’z like?” We’re people just like you; let’s move on from this slavery and segregation mind frame. The future is brighter than the past. Let’s kill ignorance, prejudice, and racism; let’s get over ourselves and try to save this world.

P.S. If you are a White people reading this and feel offended then I am talking about you. Before you jump and yell out “reverse racism”, that’s an oxymoron. Reverse racism would be overly nice to another race about their culture and features.  Example: “Hey, Tyrone, you’re hair is so dark, rich, and curly. How can I get mines like that?” or “Hey Tina, you’re thick, full lips are very beautiful.” Now that’s reverse racism, but I digress. White people, there is no such thing called “reverse racism.” Racism is just racism, no matter what race is speaking words of ignorance. So cut it out, grow up, and realize that White people have oppressed Black people for hundreds of years. Moment of truth:  Slavery and everything that followed happened.

We all bleed and breathe the same; no matter the color, class, education, or religion.  We’re all human and we need to get over race. Let’s just get along and move forward.
