11 years after her death, VH1 has updated their “Behind the Music” special with singer/actress, Aaliyah, which originally aired over a decade ago back in 2001.

Focusing on her rapid rise to fame and the tragic August 25th 2001 death that cut her life and career short, the hour-long documentary features new commentary and footage from family and peers, including Missy Elliott.
