MEDIA:    Media welcome

They are only children, yet each have suffered a lifetime of pain, grief and loss. Yet despite their struggles, they have chosen to lift their voices in victory as opposed to wailing in defeat.

These are the children of the Watoto Children’s choir, the internationally recognized music and dance group whose members consist of African children who have lost parents to war or disease in Uganda.

On Saturday, November 17th, the Watoto Children’s Choir will perform right here in Philadelphia and tickets couldn’t be cheaper – IN FACT THEY’RE FREE!

Founded in 1994 by Canadian missionaries and founders of the Watoto Church, Gary and Marilyn Skinner, the choir has provided an opportunity for children in war-torn Uganda to receive holistic care, including educational training, medical assistance, trauma counseling and spiritual discipline.

Since that time, Watoto has expanded its services to women and hope to provide care for 10,000 Ugandan children by 2023. And so they sing.

Join the Watoto childrens Choir Saturday, November 17th at ACANA Hall, 5524-26 Chester Avenue, in Southwest Philadelphia.

The program will begin 7:00pm – all are welcome.

Donations will be accepted during the event. Proceeds will be used to help provide care, treatment and services for the children of Uganda.
