Mic Check 1-Two! is hosting our second annual Prom Drive!!
This year we have added new locations and new dynamics to ensure a more lasting community impact.
Last year, we hosted two prom dress drives for young girls in high school and junior high school who were in need of formal gowns but did not have the funds to buy them. This year, with the help of Rising Sons, React Management Company and Dreaming Beyond, we are able to open the drive up to young men as well and we are now collecting and distributing gently-used suits and formal attire for men.
Our primary goal is to assist families by helping them cut the expensive costs and inevitable stress that seem to go hand-in-hand when trying to make prom night extra special for their children. We seek to uplift the youth in our community by letting them know that when the suits are off and dresses are packed away, they are to forever remember this night and relish in their royalty each day of the year.
We will provide a resource market for the youth and parents with information and supplies to prepare them for their child’s future and assist them with raising great leaders and living healthy lives.
