About DJ Fresh Direct
Dylan McDougle, professionally known as DJ Fresh Direct hardly sees the light of day, spending his days in the studio producing, recording, and re-mixing music the music of artists including Maluca (Mad Decent), Shwayze (Geffen), Nina Sky (J Records) and many more. Recently, he recorded and mixed over half of Hoodie Allen’s debut EP, which reached number 1 on iTunes in 5 countries including the US, and number 10 on the Billboard album sales chart. “DJ Fresh Direct Remixes” have recently been played by DJ Wonder on Shade45, and by Flosstradamus on BBC Radio1, and Aylen’s remix of Nicki Minaj’s “Stupid Hoe” (which he mixed and mastered) is in Diplo’s current rotation. The majority of his work can be found on his Soundcloud, where some tracks average 1,000 plays a day.

When the sun sets, he can be found in the DJ booth of some of New York’s premier nightlife destinations including W.I.P., SL, Catch, Goldbar, Tenjune, Gunbar, Marquee, 1Oak, The Jane Hotel, The Westway, either headlining himself, or spinning alongside DJs such as A-Trak, Just Blaze, Roxy Cottontail, Dada Life, and the elite of New York City’s DJ scene. Club DJing, however, is only half of DJing for DJ Fresh Direct. Production work for Zak Downtown, Roxy Cottontail, and Skotch Davis has taken him across the country as a tour DJ for these artists, supporting Lupe Fiasco, RJD2, Jim Jones, Dada Life, Hoodie Allen, Chiddy Bang, and Outasight.
