In the run up to its IPO, the company Facebook is most often compared to is Google. While they’re both booming Internet companies, from a business perspective, the comparison is terrible.

In this chart you can see Facebook’s revenue growth is significantly weaker than Google’s in the four quarters leading up to each company’s IPO.
