Amazon Executive Mysteriously Dies In A Plane Crash
Tom Phillips, general manager of Amazon Web Services, died yesterday in a plane crash in Michigan, reports MSNBC.
Phillips was on a small plane from St. Ignace to Mackinaw Island, a short flight of only 4.5 miles that was expected to last about 6 minutes.
A concerned family member called 911 (presumably after not hearing from Phillips for a while) and a Coast Guard aircrew was dispatched to investigate, which found the plane’s wreckage three miles north of St. Ignace.
Our condolences to Phillips’ family
