Spring is here, summer is around the corner and so are its trends. While shopping you can look forward to seeing a lot of the things our parents consider old become our new.  Like all trends they seem to make a return but, they are slightly different. The 70s are back again with the flowing detailed shimmering blouses and dark denim jeans, shorts, and skirts paired with a heavy school girl platform or a clog.  Another decade that has made its come back are the 60s, well I was not around in the 60s I can tell you in this decade the woman was very lady-like wearing clothing that accentuated hips and curves but did not expose all the goods.  Trying to achieve this look?  Try a top with prints that is very fitted along the bust and torso with a full skirt that stops just below the knee.  Who said sexy had to be trashy? Another very feminine trend that you will see is lace and macramé.  Lace and macramé is far from new but, in these seasons you will see it displayed to portray the antique side of fashion.  Since lace and macramé is light use it to achieve a layered look. Of course the style of dress that has made a return summer after summer, the never forgotten maxi dress.  This year the maxi dress is slightly different textured and sheer.  Although that sounds very soft add some edge with a heavy chained necklace or a chained over the top handbag.  Another trend from last year has made a return the romper or jumpsuit.   This look isn’t for everyone but, when done right can be very fun a cool on a hot august day.  Last but, not least is my favorite part of fashion, accessories.  Ladies this is the part where you can add the most flare, these year it’s all about cat eye sunglasses which gives a very vintage inspired look. Another accessory is the belt purse; the belt purse goes perfectly around a maxi dress or a romper which would be a perfect day look.  Although Spring is here you still have time to achieve these looks, happy shopping.
