IAmNotADictionary Phrase Of The Day: Pulling A G. Dep

“Now see…You know you done fucked up dont you?

IAmNotADictionary Phrase Of The Day: Pulling A G. Dep/OJ – “Pulling a G. Dep” is the act of self snitching or to tell on one’s self when it is completely unwarranted… and no one asked you to say anything, but you choose to reveal unnecessary things about your past that could/will very well leave you imprisoned indefinitely

Ex 1: Michael Jackson moonwalked out of the grave into the 19th  precinct and confessed that 20+ years ago he made an album called Thriller on which he used dance moves he stole from James Brown

G. Dep –

The guilt-ridden rapper who confessed to a 17-year-old murder told The Post yesterday he didn’t know his victim had died when he decided to come clean on the cold case.

Trevell Coleman — whose rap name is G-Dep — said cops dropped the bombshell after he went into the 25th Precinct station house Wednesday to admit to the Oct. 19, 1993, shooting of John Henkel.

“I was surprised — for some reason, I really didn’t think that he died,” the bald and bearded Coleman said in a jailhouse interview.

“When they told me, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going home after this.’ “

No G. Dep, you are not going home…

Similar to this is “Pulling an OJ”. Pulling an OJ is slightly different in the sense that it is not an actual confession or admission of guilt, but a round about way of implying you did something that you didnt do…or did you? It leaves the mind questioning if you actually committed the act and you’re being an a$$hole rubbing it in since no one could possibly stupid enough to adnit to a crime they actually committed (except G. Dep ^), or if you didnt do it & your publicist thinks its a good move to say that you did, write  a book about it… and do a 60 min ABC special about it.

Ex 2: Chris Brown said he didnt beat up Rihanna… but he said if he had, he wouldve beat her exactly like she looked after he beat her…which he didnt do…or did he?

Orenthal James Simpson (OJ) –

If I Did It is a book by O. J. Simpson, in which he puts forth a hypothetical description of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Simpson was tried and acquitted of the murders in a criminal trial (People v. Simpson) but later found financially liable in a civil trial. Although the original release of the book was canceled shortly after it was announced in November 2006, 400,000 physical copies of the original book were printed, and by June 2007 copies of the book had leaked online.

It was originally planned that the book would be promoted via a television special featuring an interview with Simpson. This special had the longer title, O. J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here’s How It Happened. Like the original release of the book, the special was canceled.

In August 2007, a Florida bankruptcy court awarded the rights to the book to the Goldman family partially to satisfy an unpaid civil judgment. The title of the book was changed to If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer and comments were added to the original manuscript by the Goldman family, the book’s ghostwriter Pablo Fenjves, and journalist Dominick Dunne. The new cover design printed the word “If” greatly reduced in size compared with the other words, and placed it inside the “I”; a person glancing the cover only briefly may have the impression that it is entitled I Did It. In this new form, the book was published in September 2007.
