Finally: @MikeVick Secures First Endorsement Deal Since Return To NFL
In perhaps the clearest sign yet that Michael Vick is back in good graces with more of the American public, the Eagles quarterback has signed his first significant endorsement deal since returning to the league.
This isn’t a $100 million Nike deal, but it’s a start for a man who was once the most marketable man in his sport.
Vick signed a two-year endorsement deal with a company that makes football pads called Unequal Technologies, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
The story notes Vick did a car dealership commercial in New Jersey in December, but that was reportedly just for the use of a car. This contract is a “sizable” investment.
“We’re real excited about it,” CEO Rob Vito said. “Michael is good people. He paid his dues. President Obama reached out to him. He deserves an opportunity. This is what makes America so great. He’s moved forward. He’s a whole other person.”
